Terms & Conditions
To book a HayMahj class, whether it be public or private, there are no refunds within seven days of the event. You can, however, use your spot on a future class credit, subject to price increases and availability. Full refunds are permitted if the event is outside the seven day window.
Each class has a baseline price with additions subject to location and day of the week. If you live in the Upstate of South Carolina but are outside of the following zip codes: 29605, 29601, 29607, 29609, 29611, 29614, 29615, there is an additional cost per person. If you live outside of the Upstate of South Carolina, all pricing will be discussed and agreed upon with Hayden and Morgan. If you would like to host a class on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, there is an additional cost per person as well.
All private classes require a 50% deposit of estimated number of attendees to hold a specific date. Until that deposit is received and confirmation is sent from Hayden or Morgan, no date is confirmed. Final payment for all private classes are due 24 hours before the start of class. Hosts are included in the number of attendees no matter if they are participating or not AND no matter if they know Mahjong or not. The value in the class is not only the products but the knowledge therefore there will not be anyone permitted to sit in a class without having paid for their spot.
HayMahj brings everything needed to play the game of American Chinese Mahjong, including but not limited to: tiles, mats, racks, pushers, cards, lighting, and curriculum. HayMahj does NOT bring tables, chairs, or refreshments.
Each 101 class lasts a full three hours and HayMahj arrives 30 minutes prior to class start, unless otherwise discussed, to set up all tables. To streamline set up, we ask that the tables that are to be used are ready for Mahjong sets upon our arrival.
Included in the class is instruction, supervised play, a HayMahj enamel pin, and a follow up email with resources, links, and discount codes specific to HayMahj. There are National Mahjong League cards available for purchase as well as select few other items if desired.
